Early morning, take a domestic flight to Luxor, often called the world’s greatest open-air museum. Begin on the East Bank, exploring the immense Karnak Temple Complex and the elegant Luxor Temple. After lunch, cross the Nile to the West Bank. Walk through the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs lie hidden, including that of Tutankhamun (optional entry). Continue to the stunning Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dramatically carved into limestone cliffs, and stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon before heading to your hotel in Luxor for the evening.
