Egypt and Jordan Tour

Welcome pickup at Cairo Airport with meet and assist service upon arrival. Transfer into Cairo followed by lunch at one of the city’s most famous restaurants for grills and authentic Egyptian cuisine. After lunch, transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest.

Morning pickup from the hotel. Visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, followed by the Saqqara Pyramids with entrance inside the Pyramid of Unas. Continue to the Giza Plateau to explore the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre’s Pyramid, and Menkaure. Enjoy a horse or camel ride for a panoramic view of the nine pyramids, then visit the Sphinx Statue. Stop at a Papyrus Museum to learn about the traditional papyrus-making process. Optional quad ATV ride by the pyramids is available. Lunch will be served in Giza, followed by transfer back to the hotel.
 

Transfer from the hotel to Cairo Airport for a domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, begin visiting the West Bank, including the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Kings, and the Colossi of Memnon. Enjoy a visit to alabaster and marble workshops with complimentary tea, coffee, and hibiscus. Lunch will be served in Luxor. Continue to the East Bank to visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Early morning hot air balloon ride over Luxor at sunrise, including transfers. Later, transfer by private vehicle to Esna and board the Dahabiya Zekrayat. Meet the crew and settle into your cabin. Visit Esna Temple, dedicated to the god Khnum, then walk through the local markets. Begin sailing toward El Kab while enjoying views of ancient ruins and rock-cut tombs. The boat will moor near a small island for the night. Dinner will be served onboard or on the riverbank.

Morning sailing toward Edfu through scenic Nile landscapes of desert dunes and palm groves. Visit the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to the god Horus. Continue sailing to Wadi El Shat, with guided walks through traditional villages and along the desert edge. Dinner will be served onboard or on the Nile banks, followed by overnight sailing.

Sail to Gebel El Silsila and explore ancient rock-cut chapels and sandstone quarries once used to build Egypt’s temples. Enjoy lunch on the sundeck while sailing toward Kom Ombo. Visit Kom Ombo Temple, the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris, including the Nileometer and crocodile mummies. Continue to Maniha for dinner by campfire under the stars and overnight onboard.

Sail to Daraw, once a major trading post for camel caravans. Visit the camel market and walk through the village streets. Continue sailing toward El Koubania, a peaceful Nubian village near Aswan. Walk through gardens filled with citrus, mango, and guava trees, meet locals, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Final dinner onboard followed by overnight sailing.

Breakfast onboard followed by the end of the Dahabiya journey. Transfer to Aswan and begin sightseeing with a ferry boat visit to Philae Temple. Visit a traditional perfume factory with tea included, then enjoy a boat ride to the Nubian Village. Lunch will be served in the village, followed by exploration of its colorful houses and crocodile homes. Overnight in Aswan.

Early morning private excursion to Abu Simbel with a breakfast box provided. Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Small Temple of Hathor and Nefertari, with explanations provided outside the temples in accordance with regulations. Return to Aswan in the afternoon and transfer to the airport for a flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by pickup to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum. Continue to the Citadel of Salah El Din and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. Enjoy a cultural experience with a cooking class hosted by an Egyptian family, including a traditional homemade lunch. Return to the hotel for overnight.

Pickup from the hotel to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and the Royal Mummies Hall. Continue to the Religious Complex, including the Hanging Church, St. George’s Monastery, the Cavern Church, and St. Sergius Church. Explore Old Cairo with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, optional henna tattoo, Al-Azhar Mosque if open, Al-Muizz Street, and El Fishawy Café. Lunch will feature Cairo’s famous Koshari dish. Enjoy a downtown walking tour including Tahrir Square, Talaat Harb Square, a traditional shisha experience, and a historic pastry shop. End the day with a sunset felucca ride on the Nile before returning to the hotel.

Pickup from the hotel and travel to Amman. Visit the Amman Citadel, sample falafel from one of the city’s oldest eateries, enjoy kunafa, and have free time on Rainbow Street. Continue to the Dead Sea for hotel check-in and time to relax and enjoy the mineral-rich waters.

Pickup from the hotel and drive to Petra with a guided tour. Visit the Treasury, the Monastery, key photography points, and the Roman coliseum. Continue driving to Wadi Rum for a stargazing experience and Bedouin-style dinner at the camp.

Pickup from the camp for a four-hour 4x4 jeep tour exploring desert canyons, red sand dunes, and natural rock bridges. Return to the camp, then drive back to Amman for overnight.

Pickup from the hotel and drive to Jerash for a guided tour of the ancient Roman city, including the Oval Plaza, Hadrian’s Arch, and the Hippodrome. Continue to Ajloun Castle before returning to the hotel in Amman.

Pickup from the hotel and transfer to the airport for the return flight home.
