Day-by-Day Itinerary

Welcome to Egypt. On arrival at Cairo International Airport your private tour leader meets you, helps with the arrival formalities and escorts you by air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. After a smooth check-in you will run through the itinerary together and confirm the pick-up times for the days ahead.

After breakfast your private Egyptologist drives you to the Giza Plateau to stand before the Great Pyramids of Giza, the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. You will also visit the enigmatic Sphinx and the granite Valley Temple.

After lunch at a quality Egyptian restaurant, continue to the new Grand Egyptian Museum to explore its main galleries and the grand staircase before returning to your hotel.

After breakfast you check out and transfer to Cairo Airport for the short flight to Luxor, where you board your five-star Nile cruiser and enjoy lunch on board.

In the afternoon you explore Luxor's East Bank, visiting the vast Karnak Temple and the elegant Luxor Temple. Dinner is served on board.

This morning you cross to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, the royal cemetery of the New Kingdom pharaohs, followed by the striking terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the towering Colossi of Memnon.

After lunch on board the cruiser sets sail towards Edfu as you relax on deck.

After breakfast you visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu, then sail on to the Kom Ombo Temple, unusually dedicated to two gods - Sobek the crocodile and Horus the falcon. Lunch and dinner are served on board as you continue towards Aswan.

Spend the day sightseeing in Aswan. You begin at the Unfinished Obelisk, which reveals how the ancient Egyptians quarried these giant monuments, then visit the graceful Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and moved stone by stone to its island setting.

After breakfast you disembark and transfer to Aswan Airport for the flight back to Cairo, where you are met and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax before the Morocco leg of your journey.

After a relaxed morning you transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Casablanca. On arrival your local driver-guide welcomes you and drives you to Rabat, Morocco's elegant capital, where you check in for the night.

A private tour of Rabat takes in the Chellah necropolis and the seafront Kasbah of the Oudayas, with time to wander the old medina.

You then travel to Fez, stopping at the UNESCO-listed Roman ruins of Volubilis and the imperial city of Meknes, famous for the monumental Bab El-Mansour gate.

A full day exploring Fez, a World Heritage city and home to the world's oldest university. With a local guide you dive into the medina - the Bou Inania and Al-Attarine madrasas, the famous tanneries and the historic Mellah - and take part in a hands-on pottery workshop with a master artisan.

Today you drive south to Marrakech, passing the cedar-forested towns of Ifrane and Azrou in the Middle Atlas and pausing near Beni Mellal. Arrive in the late afternoon and check in to your Marrakech hotel.

A guided tour of Marrakech takes you to the tranquil Majorelle Garden, the Menara pavilion and the landmark Koutoubia Mosque. After lunch, a traditional horse-drawn carriage brings you to the buzzing Jemaa el-Fnaa square, alive with storytellers, musicians and food stalls.

A free day to enjoy Marrakech at your own pace - lose yourself in the souks, relax at your hotel, or return to Jemaa el-Fnaa to soak up the atmosphere.

Transfer from Marrakech to Casablanca, where your guide shows you the city's highlights - the magnificent Hassan II Mosque overlooking the Atlantic, the Corniche, the Habous quarter and the exterior of the Royal Palace.

Enjoy a final breakfast and some free time before your private transfer to Casablanca Airport for your departure flight, bringing your Egypt and Morocco journey to a close.
