10-Day All Inclusive Trip to Egypt: Cairo, Nile Cruise and Sharm El Sheikh

After breakfast you meet your private guide and head to the Giza plateau. Here you see the three main pyramids, those of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, and stand in front of the Great Sphinx. You can take a short camel ride while you are there. Later in the day the route continues to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, with its classic collection of pharaonic antiquities. Lunch at a local restaurant follows, and you then return to your Cairo hotel for the evening.

Breakfast and check-out come first, then a transfer to the airport for the short domestic flight to Sharm El Sheikh. On arrival you are taken to your beachfront resort, where the stay runs on an all-inclusive package. The rest of the day has no fixed plan. Walk along the beach, swim in the Red Sea, or spend the hours by the pool. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are listed for the day.

This is a full day of rest with nothing scheduled. You can stay by the beach or pool, snorkel in the Red Sea, or just walk along the shore. Boat trips, desert outings and quad rides are available as optional extras and are not part of the base program. After the sightseeing in Cairo and before the Nile, it is a good moment to slow down. Meals continue on the resort's all-inclusive package, with breakfast, lunch and dinner listed.

After breakfast you check out of the resort and transfer to the airport for the flight back to Cairo. One of our representatives meets you on arrival and takes you to your hotel. The evening is free, so you can rest, have dinner wherever you like, or wander through the city streets. An early flight to Aswan follows the next morning, which makes this a sensible night to keep simple. Only breakfast is listed for the day.

An early transfer takes you to the airport for the flight from Cairo to Aswan, where the Upper Egypt part of the trip begins. The first stop is Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and set on an island in the Nile. You then travel by boat along the river to a traditional Nubian village, with its colorful houses and a chance to learn about local traditions and hospitality. Afterward you settle aboard your 5-star Nile cruise ship, your base for the next three nights. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are listed.

The ship heads north, and the first stop is Kom Ombo Temple, a rare double temple shared by the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Farther along you reach Edfu Temple, which you approach by horse-drawn carriage before exploring the site with your guide. You then return to the ship for dinner and an evening on board. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all part of the cruise's full board.

After breakfast you cross to the West Bank of Luxor for the day's sightseeing. The Valley of the Kings comes first, a burial ground where many pharaohs were laid to rest. Next is the temple of Hatshepsut, built for a powerful female ruler of ancient Egypt, followed by a stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon. You then go back to the ship for lunch and spend the evening on board, with breakfast, lunch and dinner all included on full board.

After you disembark, the day starts on Luxor's East Bank at the Karnak Temple complex, a vast sanctuary of huge columns, sacred lakes and walls covered in hieroglyphs. Luxor Temple, well preserved and set in the middle of the city, is the second visit. You then transfer to the airport for the flight to Cairo, where you are met and taken to your hotel for the last night of the trip. Only breakfast is listed for the day.

Breakfast and check-out come first, then a representative drives you to Cairo International Airport to catch your onward flight. That closes the ten days: Cairo and its pyramids, a Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor, and beach time in Sharm El Sheikh.
