Day-by-Day Itinerary
You are met on arrival at the airport, assisted through the entry formalities and driven to your hotel. Depending on your landing time the evening is free to rest or to see the city lit up along the river.
A full day at Giza with a private Egyptologist, taking in the three pyramids, the Sphinx and the panoramic viewpoint, then the vast new museum beside the plateau where the complete Tutankhamun collection is displayed. If you would rather trade the museum for the medieval lanes of Khan el-Khalili, your guide can rearrange the afternoon.
An early flight south puts you in Luxor with time to spare before the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027. You watch it from a prepared viewing position beside Luxor Temple, where several minutes of totality turn the colonnade dark in the middle of the afternoon. The evening is free.
The morning is spent among the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings and the terraces of the Temple of Hatshepsut, before an afternoon flight back to the capital and a final night there.
A private transfer takes you to the airport in time for your departure.
