11-Day All Inclusive Egypt Tour Package: Nile Cruise and Hurghada Red Sea Stay

After breakfast, your private Egyptologist guide takes you to the Giza plateau for the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, and then the Sphinx. A camel ride near the pyramids is part of the visit. The second half of the day moves indoors to the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, home to the Tutankhamun galleries, with the collection presented in a modern setting. Lunch at a local restaurant follows, and you return to your hotel for a free evening.

Breakfast comes first, then a flight from Cairo to Aswan. There your guide takes you to Philae Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Isis. After the visit you board your 5-star Nile cruise ship, where you will spend the next three nights. Lunch is served on board, and the remaining time is yours for the sundeck or your cabin. Dinner is also on the ship this evening.

The ship sails on to Kom Ombo, a twin temple whose two halves honor the crocodile-headed Sobek and Horus the Elder. Next comes Edfu and the well-preserved Temple of Horus, which you reach by horse-drawn carriage. You go back on board for dinner, and the ship sails overnight toward Luxor. Once breakfast is over, you cross to Luxor's West Bank and start at the Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of Egypt's pharaohs. Disembark after breakfast and head for Karnak Temple, where you walk through the hypostyle hall and see the sacred lake. Next is Luxor Temple, which is tied to Karnak by the ancient Avenue of Sphinxes. Afterward, a private vehicle takes you to Hurghada on the Red Sea, a drive of roughly four hours, and you check into your beachfront resort. The Red Sea sets the pace on this day, and nothing is scheduled. You can swim, rest on the beach or simply enjoy the resort. If you would like something more active, snorkeling, scuba diving and a desert safari are available as optional excursions, arranged as extras outside the program. A second open day at the resort lets you decide how busy to be. You could sample fresh seafood, book a spa session if it appeals, or stay by the water and do very little. A transfer after breakfast takes you from the resort to Hurghada Airport for the flight back to Cairo, which is part of the package. On landing you go to your Cairo hotel and check in. Your last sightseeing day begins at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, with its classic collection of pharaonic antiquities. From there you the route climbs to the Salah El-Din Citadel, a medieval fortress above the city, where you step inside the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali. Enjoy a final breakfast, then check out of your Cairo hotel. A private transfer brings you to Cairo International Airport, and your departing flight closes the trip.
