8-Day All Inclusive Egypt Vacation: Cairo, Nile Cruise, Abu Simbel and Luxor

Breakfast at the hotel comes first, then your guide leads you to the Giza plateau for the three great pyramids. Spend time with the Great Sphinx and walk through the Valley Temple, with the guide explaining what each structure was for. Lunch follows at a local restaurant. The afternoon moves indoors to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, with its classic collection of pharaonic antiquities. You then return to your Cairo hotel for the night.

Following breakfast and check-out, you transfer to Cairo Airport for the domestic flight to Aswan. You start at Philae Temple, the sanctuary of Isis, and then see the Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering project on the Nile. You then board your 5-star Nile cruise, where lunch is served onboard. The afternoon is for relaxing as the boat begins its voyage, and dinner is listed for the day as well.

An early start takes you to Abu Simbel, the temples built by Ramses II, for a morning visit. Back on the cruise, lunch is served as the boat sails toward Kom Ombo, where you explore the twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus. The cruise then continues to Edfu, and a horse-drawn carriage takes you to the Temple of Horus. You return to the ship for dinner and the night on board.

After breakfast you disembark in Luxor and spend the day on the West Bank. You begin in the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground on the West Bank. After that you visit Hatshepsut's mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahari and pause at the Colossi of Memnon. When the tour ends, your cruise check-out is completed and you transfer to your hotel in Luxor. After breakfast at your Luxor hotel, you head to the East Bank, starting at Karnak Temple, a vast religious complex, and continuing to Luxor Temple. You are then driven to Luxor Airport for the flight back to Cairo. On landing, you check in to your Cairo hotel and have the evening at leisure. Breakfast is the only meal listed for this day.

This is an open day in Cairo with nothing scheduled. You might spend it in the city's markets, such as the Khan al-Khalili Bazaar, or simply rest after several days of flights and temple visits. Breakfast at the hotel is the only meal listed, so lunch and dinner are yours to choose. Optional excursions and extra nights can be arranged around the trip through your tour leader.

Your last morning is simple. Have breakfast at the hotel, check out, and meet our representative, who handles the transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home.
