Day-by-Day Itinerary
You are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for the night, with an early flight south the following morning.
A morning flight to Aswan and a boat across to the Temple of Philae, then the High Dam and the unfinished obelisk lying in its quarry. You board your ship in the late afternoon.
A morning at the riverside temple of Kom Ombo, shared between the crocodile god Sobek and Horus the Elder, then a long slow afternoon on deck as the ship works its way downstream past villages and palm banks.
The temple at Edfu in the morning, reached by horse-drawn carriage from the mooring, then sailing on so that you arrive into Luxor by evening, moored and ready for tomorrow.
A relaxed morning, then the afternoon given over to the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027. Luxor sits close to the centre of the shadow path, which is why it has drawn eclipse chasers from around the world for this date. Your guide sets up a viewing position with an open sky and safe filters.
Disembarkation after breakfast, then the royal tombs and the temple of Hatshepsut on the west bank before an afternoon flight back to the capital.
Transfer to the airport at the right time for your flight.
