Day-by-Day Itinerary
Welcome to Egypt. On arrival at the international airport in the capital you are met and given a VIP transfer to the iconic Marriott Mena House, set directly beneath the Pyramids. Settle in and enjoy the view before your journey begins.
After breakfast, a private guided tour takes you across the Giza Plateau to the Great Pyramids of Giza - the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure - and the guardian Great Sphinx, with time to learn about the ancient engineering behind these wonders.
Fly to Aswan, where your guide shows you the Aswan High Dam, a marvel of modern engineering, and the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis on its serene island setting. Check in to the legendary Old Cataract hotel.
Enjoy a scenic boat ride to a traditional Nubian Village, with its colourful houses and warm hospitality along the Nile, then board your five-star cruiser for the sail downriver.
Sail the Nile and stop at the Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely shared by the gods Sobek and Haroeris, then continue to the remarkably preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu.
On Luxor's West Bank you explore the Valley of the Kings, the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the towering Colossi of Memnon.
After final disembarkation, discover the East Bank's Luxor Temple and the vast Karnak Temple complex, then check in to the historic Winter Palace hotel.
Fly back to Cairo and return to the Marriott Mena House for an afternoon at leisure beneath the Pyramids.
Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world's largest archaeological museum, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection, followed by a farewell lunch.
After breakfast you are transferred to the international airport in the capital for your departure, concluding your Palace Hotels of Egypt journey.
